Project Description: Gabeire A Group (GAG) has been awarded a prestigious multi-billion dollar project to build a 250 km road from Antananarivo to Tomasina, Madagascar. As the country’s first toll road, it will significantly reduce the distance between Antananarivo and Tomasina by 110 km, reducing travel time from 9 hours to just 3 hours. Funded by the World Bank, this groundbreaking $1 billion project marks a significant step forward in strengthening connectivity and progress in Madagascar.

Project 3: Table Bay Hotel

Project Description: VA Waterfront is working with IHG Hotels & Resorts to redevelop the Table Bay Hotel on the Victoria & Albert Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa. The InterContinental Cape Town Table Bay Hotel will reopen in late 2025 with 306 rooms, including 45 new suites, a pool bar and terrace, a spa and lounge, and a rebuilt reception area and restaurant. The hotel will be managed by local company Sun International. V&A Waterfront itself is planning a $1.1 billion expansion of its mixed-use waterfront development. It hopes to acquire an additional 440,000 square meters of development rights on its total 1.2 million square meters of floor space and has submitted a land use application to the Cape Town government. The expansion is planned to be implemented in phases over the next 15 to 20 years, with construction starting in 2025.

Project 4: Ras Ghareb Wind Farm

Project Description: The project will develop and construct a 200MW onshore wind farm in Ras Ghareb in the Gulf of Suez region. Once completed, the wind farm will sell the electricity produced to the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) under a long-term power purchase agreement backed by a sovereign guarantee from the Ministry of Finance.

The project will contribute to Egypt's goal of 42% of its electricity generation coming from renewable sources by 2030. The Ras Ghareb Wind Farm is expected to achieve significant environmental benefits, with an estimated reduction of nearly 400,000 tons of carbon emissions per year.

Project Description: Real estate developer Mabany Edris has launched the Koun project in Ras El Hikma on Egypt's north coast. The residential project covers an area of ​​447,658 square meters and includes seafront residences with lagoon and sea views. The development will be built in three phases and will include a commercial area, a clubhouse and a hotel. The residential area will have twin houses, townhouses, cabins, duplexes and independent apartments.

Project 6: Ibn Battouta Airport Expansion

Project Description: Tangier Municipality donated AED 13 million for the expansion of Ibn Battouta Airport in preparation for AFCON 2025 and the 2030 World Cup.

The project involves the construction of a passenger terminal covering an area of ​​approximately 55,000 square meters. In addition, a new terminal building, control tower, aircraft parking, delivery ramps and parking for 1,400 cars will be built. The airport will also undergo external improvements, including plazas on the city side and runway side, a waiting shed for passengers, parking for 2,300 vehicles, rental car facilities, official lines, green areas, drop-off areas, and parking areas reserved for buses and taxis.
